Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 August 2026
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of regentrecordcheck.co.uk and the application-support services provided by Regent Record Check. By submitting a request you accept these terms.
2. Nature of the service
Regent Record Check is an independent private application-support service. We are not a government department, police force, embassy, consulate or issuing authority, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. Our fee is a support fee for document preparation, checking and guidance. Any official authority, embassy, legalisation or courier fees are separate and are paid by you.
We do not issue criminal-record certificates and we have no authority to do so. Certificates are issued only by the relevant police force, government department or authority. You may apply directly to that authority yourself, often at a lower cost.
3. What we provide
- Review of your stated requirements and requesting organisation
- Identification of the applicable application route
- Preparation and checking of your application file
- A tailored document checklist
- Email support and status notifications
4. Fees
The Standard Route support fee is £169.99 and the Express Route support fee is £179.99. The fee is confirmed by our server at the time of submission and that server value prevails over anything displayed in your browser. Official authority, embassy, apostille, legalisation, translation, courier, biometric and any other third-party fees are separate and are paid by you.
5. Timeframes
Standard Route: target completion within 14 working days. Express Route: target completion within 7 working days. The stated timeframe starts after a complete file and all required information have been received. Missing information, additional checks and external-authority processing may affect completion. These are targets for our own support work and are not guarantees relating to any external authority.
6. Payment
Payment is collected securely by our payment processor, and only after you deliberately choose to continue to payment. We never take payment automatically and never store card details.
7. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information.
- Respond promptly to requests for missing information.
- Do not submit sensitive information through this website, including passport or identity-document details, criminal-history information, National Insurance numbers, medical information or payment details.
- Do not use the service for any unlawful purpose or to obtain information about another person without lawful authority.
8. No guarantee of outcome
We cannot influence, accelerate or guarantee the decision, content, outcome or processing time of any external authority, and no statement on this website should be read as such a guarantee.
9. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation rights and refunds are set out in the Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the support fee you paid. We are not liable for the acts, delays or decisions of any external authority.
11. Complaints
Please follow our Complaints Procedure.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
